Half Time Entertainment

This Friday, at halftime of the Ropes-New Home 6-man football game, Khiva and her doggie brethren and sistern will be the featured half time entertainment. Seems neither team has a band, so they have resorted to watching dogs performing agility activities. Could be some fun West Texas fall entertainment if you find yourself bored to death.

The replacement I just hired for the front desk -- Dani -- her kids go to Ropes. I am SURE they'll be at the football game, and I will tell her to look for Khiva.

That's really cool, actually. Yeah Khiva! :-)

Ropes DOES have a band, though...with over 80 members. It's actually ranked, like, the 11th best 1A Band in the state. Dani's daughter is a Senior and plays in the band...

Which dog(s?) is Khiva taking?

I assume she will be taking Tom, as he is the easiest to show, and the currently best trained.

I told Dani today about Khiva and her halftime show...and also mentioned that I gave a "shout out" to the Ropes High School Band.

Considering that her and I spent so much time talking about Ropes' six-man football team, the band, etc., yesterday, she thought it was a cool coincidence.

Aye, mayhap even cosmic. :-)

Is the game at Ropes?

Before the performance at halftime will the dogs have been fed yet?

What if Ropes Pounces on New Home and 45's them prior to halftime?

Khiva let me know today that she knew Ropes had a band, and a damn good one. So, my smart ass comment was slightly misguided. My bad...but, it doesn't make me a bad person.

Ed, the game is at Ropes...and I don't know what happens if they get "45'd". I guess the dogs will go out and pee on the losers.

Bat,

JQT, his son, my son and I will be attending the game in Ropes. Last time I went there I parked behind one of the goal posts. The Tahoe got hit by the football on an extra point and I had to toss it back. Good times. They have a good snack bar too.

Sounds to me like Cousin Ed just offered to buy you some nachos, my friend. :-)

Looking forward to seeing you there Ed...I will be expecting those nachos.

Cousin Ed's blog post regarding your big night in Ropes was nice. Sounds like a good time was had by all.
