Must've Been The Clubs

Go figure...went out today and shot 82 with 10 pars. 5 of them coming on the final 5 holes. Couldn't break 95 last weekend when it meant something, and shoot 82 in my first round with the new sticks. Huh?????? Could the wife have been right? I will have to go out tomorrow and prove her wrong.

I don't know anything about golf, so I was hesitant to say...

but it seems to me if all the people good at golf take lessons on their stroke and buy high end clubs, then there's probably a reason. Since you had had the lessons, that leaves the clubs. While it is true that it's a poor carpenter who blames his tools, there is something to be said for using a properly weighted and balanced hammer with a head that doesn't fly off every time you pull back to execute a strike. Or, one that doesn't have a crooked head for that matter.

Congratulations. Stop skimping on things that make you happy. Life is short.

But Elaine, skimping is the thing that makes me the most happy.

Heaven then for you, will be aisles and aisles of bargains and great deals with infinite opportunities to buy really good clubs for a penny on the dollar. The back yard will be an endless golf course where you can get birdies and eagles and giraffes (or whatever other animals you golfers golf) until you are giddy.

Oh, and a big pool with a tree near for the hanging of one banana hammock.

Proved the negative Sunday with a whopping 94. Good to be back.

You're in Gunnison today.

That makes me smile.

A lot.
