You mentioned in a previous post that you were going to do a different floor. What are you planning? 'Cause, I kind of like the floor you have. Depending on if it matches with the granite and the rest of the kitchen once you get done, you might want to consider keeping it. The grout needs to be cleaned, but that expense should be easily covered by a budget large enough to support an all new floor.
Of course, you may think me insane... probably wouldn't be the first time ;) You and your wife may be so sick of it that you wonder what the hell I'm thinking. And, I am looking at it in pics, not in person. It may look totally different in person.
Anyway, I think your work in the kitchen is fantastic, regardless of what you decide on the floor. It looks great!
